It doesn't matter much as the military got it's way and now has 50% of the vote in the new board. The military was the group that didn't want to see the formation in the first place. This is a dark day for independent Thai broadcasters as they now officially have no say in broadcast development. We can expect a status quo attitude for 6 years rather than the frequency allocations we were promised in the 97 constitution.

"The establishment of the commission comes 14 years late. It should have been up and running with the promulgation of the 1997 constitution." Where is this, the "People's Constitution"???" Along with TS & Democracy, this too became a 'fugitive' (gone) after the military coup. This has been my complaint: Coups are illegal AND they are regressive. In a fast-paced world, Thailand will continue to fall behind. It took YEARS after the coup to finally achieve a government voted-in by a majority of the country. The economic effects of communications are foundational to a successful country. This is not the time or place to play politics. Let Thailand develop & grow & prosper!
