With the illegal practice of bid-rigging for contracts on the rise, the Central Investigation Bureau has asked the long-inactive Counter Corruption Division for help.
CCD commander Pol Maj Gen Surachai Khuandechakupt has assigned his deputy Pol Col Wiwat Chaisangkha to work out plans to tackle bid-rigging gangs — which tend to comprise local politicians and private businesses — which are siphoning off national budgets.
Pol Col Wiwat said local administrative organisations are now implementing development projects which require services from private contractors and suppliers.

There should be a direct hotline to report such cases of graft and corruption. Not only by the politicians and civilian cartels, but also by the military who seem to be the largest offenders of graft and corruption.
