Heavy flooding in Don Mueang area

Police closed seven city roads to traffic after Vibhavadi-Rangsit and Phahon Yothin highways were heavily flooded and declared impassable for small vehicles on Wednesday.

Floodwater inundated both in-bound and out-bound lanes of the Vibhavadi-Rangsit highway from the Lat Phrao intersection to in front of Don Mueang airport.  The water level in front of Wat Don Mueang was about 50 centimetres. The ground floors of the cargo terminal and the domestic passenger terminal of Don Mueang airport were under 80cm of water.

On Phahon Yothin Road, floodwater had reached Saphan Mai area and the water level  continued to rise, causing heavy traffic on the outbound lanes.

"Ms Yingluck said if this happened she would ask the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to drain water into the sea as quickly as possible."

Does YS not know that BMA can only drain water into the Chao Praya river, they have not control how fast it goes to sea? Doesn't sound like they have any plan. I guess YS wants BMA to take care of the situation on their own as Bangkok is not one of their strongholds.

How about instead of easing taxes on imported goods just abolish it and charge 5% on all goods .If there are Thai products available they would be cheaper anyway .Its criminal the amount of tax put on imported things .Stop restricting peoples access to products which can help them with their lives .
