HM 'doesn't want special treatment'

His Majesty the King does not want any special flood protection measures for the Chitralada Palace, army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha said yesterday.

Gen Prayuth made the comment yesterday after discussing with the Bureau of the Royal Household how to protect the royal palace from floods. The monarch wanted nothing special for the palace and wanted to let nature take its course, Gen Prayuth said.

"The King said floodwater should be allowed to take its course," he said. His Majesty had also expressed concern for people affected by floods.

It's incredibly sad that he has to see this happening knowing full well that the root cause is corrupt, immoral politicians.

"there are four steps involved in preparing for possible flooding at the Grand Palace and other royal palaces _ reinforcing sandbags, moving belongings to higher ground, and preparing for evacuation".

    Then what is step 4?!

(Not the recovery, mentioned in the next step, because that is not part of preparing for possible flooding...)
