Froc's 'VIP pass' irks residents

Residents living near the Flood Relief Operations Command (Froc) say a raised road built to allow access by VIPs is causing them flooding problems.

The special driveway is a road off the tollway exit in front of the Energy Complex building on Vibhavadi Rangsit road.

Officials have raised the surface of this section of the road with gravel to protect it from floods and enable access to the Froc inside the building.

Typical reactionary actions being taken without thought. At the time they built the road there was no water there so why put in a pipe....hahahaha.

Where are the redshirts and their cries of "double standards"?

The construction blocks floodwater, which is increasing in the area?

No way. Wather can find it's way through the drains.

D1 beat me to the missing culvert but this pretty much punctuates the problem with FROC

They keep doing random tasks without looking at the big picture and ended up making the situation worse.

@Disc 1 - Like you said, a simple solution is to have two big pipes under the VIP road.

I believe the best route to the FROC centre is to take the toll road and exit like how the FROC planned. The resident said they could have taken the roads near Chatuchak, but many roads are starting to flood and is not advisable to travel that way. FROC can still rebuild the VIP road and put two pipes underneath to drain water, or have pipes through the VIP road to pump water out. VIP is only made of gravel and such, so its a simple process.

D2, maybe you just identified Froc's problem.

first they complain about FROC not doing enough, now they are complaining about them being able to get in to do the job, they just can't seem to win over the complainers

Of course if the FROC had any brains they could have put two or three big pipes under this VIP road to let the floodwater through, but that would assume somebody has the capacity to make a decision.
