Coalition will help laid-off flood victims find work

A coalition of state and private entities has set up a centre to deal with future disasters and help those affected by them.

The Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Chulalongkorn University, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Thai PBS TV channel, CSR Club and ChangeFusion Institute opened the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Thailand yesterday.

Thai Health Promotion Foundation adviser Paibul Watthanasiritham said the centre, at Mahachulalongkorn Building in the university, will keep a database of areas affected by the disasters and maintain information about parties which want to provide sponsorship to help disaster victims.

Bangkokians already have the perfect disaster center with the BMA governor and his merry men: Three months of joyous flooding won't be topped by any new agency, so why bother?

I would like to say sorry to the people west of Bangkok .It seems the government just forgot about you .I hope all will be dry soon .

If they REALLY investigate, plan, implement & maintain a flood control system for Thailand that would be a most positive action.

Experts operating without political interference is difficult.

Even in the USA, scientific claims of climate change are disputed to get votes.
