Bang Yai residents block road

More than 100 people in Nonthaburi’s Bang Yai district on Sunday blocked Kanchanaphisek road, demanding the government to rapidly pay them 5,000 baht flood compensation for each household, reports said.

The protesters said they have not been paid with 5,000 baht compensation since the flood inundated their homes for months as promised by the government.

They called for a meeting with Nonthaburi governor to come up with a clear-cut timeframe on the compensation payment date.

More Thais protesting because they didn't get a handout, and the Politicians will just keep making hollow promises to the gullible. Hate to be the one to let you know the bad news, but the Nonthaburi Residents are prostesting about something that's not going to happen!

    Disc 2:
If you can afford having carps costing more than 5000 Baht then you should be ashamed asking any money and instead donate them to some poor people in real need.

Once again Nonthburi is the forgotten neighbor of Bangkok. What good is our MP who only shows up at election time spending money on giant posters of his smiling mug. By the way B5000 does not even pay for my Japanese carp in the pond that swam off during the flood, likely to have been cooked by now by some happy angler.
