Arisman entering monkhood

Red-shirt activist Arisman Pongruangrong said today he will go into the monkhood for one month Thursday, taking his vows at Wat Samphanthawongsaramvoraviharn in Bangkok.

Speaking to a press conference at the Pheu Thai Party's head office, Mr Arisman said he might seek court permission to go on a pilgrimage to India while in the monkhood. One of his bail conditions is that he must not leave the country.

He said he was making merit for His Majesty the King and the people who had made sacrifices for democracy.

What gets me with these politicians and leaders is they generally go into a temple AFTER they've committed their sins, as if it will whitewash them, pity they didn't go in BEFORE, and go in with the intention of learning Buddhist principals, rather than for show, then they would learn that's wrong to incite violence.

D22-Thaksin's exile is self imposed, in other words 'he ran way'

He could have come back anytime on one of his other passports but for some reason he chose not to.

Discussion 20 bangmodker: Some did not tell you that revocation of Thaksin's Thai passport by the ex. DEM government is a gesture that they and those untouchable ones don't want him back. You need to read a lot of history about this kind of excile stories before getting the point.

D19: Your dear leader Is welcome back anytime, the doors have always been open for him. But like a typical thief the coward chooses to run and hide under a rock, in his case a sandcastle.

D19 : You're wrong. Many here would like the criminal fugitive to return and start serving his 2 years in Bang Kwang. Then all the trials that awaits him could begin as well. If anyone does not want him back yet,I believe it's PTP and their street thugs as they haven't got complete control of the judicial system...yet.

Thaksin haters don't like Arisman to get out of thailand, but in contrary they don't want Thaksin to get back into thailand.

As he’s a former pop idol - can we assume this is his Farewell Tour?

Dis#12 , "Why can't he make merit in a Thai temple?"

Maybe Because It Would Fall Down Around His Ears ?

Let him do it in his Cambodian Temple !
