Car exports down for December

Car exports for December 2011 totaled 35,046 units, down 50.66 per cent on December 2010, Surapong Paisitpattanapong, spokesman of Automotive Industry Club said on Wednesday.
Car export value over the month was 17.05 billion baht, down 42.93 per cent from December 2010, Mr Surapong said.
In 2011, a total of 735,627 cars were exported, down 17.89 per cent on 2010, while car export value totaled 343.38 billion baht, a decline of 15.14 per cent, he said.
