The Central Administrative Court has rejected a petition seeking the revocation of the Jan 10 cabinet resolution on compensation for victims of political violence which occurred between 2005 and 2010.
Democrat MP for Rayong Sathit Pitutecha, the petitioner, said the court rejected the petition on the grounds that the compensation had only been approved in principle and no criteria for the payments had yet been set.
He would wait until the Budget Bureau, the Comptroller General's Department, and other agencies involved, have worked out the criteria for payment and then resubmit the petition.
