Military rangers likely to stay, even after killings probe
Army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha will keep military rangers in the far South, despite their involvement in last week's killings of four villagers in Pattani.
The army chief says they are suitable for peace-keeping missions in the region, and are likely to stay no matter what inquiries into the killings find.
Maj Gen Ditthaporn Sasasamit, spokesman of the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc), delivered the message to reporters yesterday.
