Four organisations under the Justice Ministry are joining forces to suppress the illicit drug business in prisons.
They intend targetting prisoners and wardens involved in trafficking.
Ministry spokesman Thirachai Wuthitham said yesterday the Corrections Department, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo) will work together to tackle the drug trade in prisons.
