Couple slain in Pattani

A man and his wife were attacked and shot dead as they left home to gather forest products in Pattani's Panare district on Tuesday morning, police said.

Pol Col Manit Yimsai, the Panare police chief, said Anan sae Iew and his wife Lakkhana sae Iew were shot by two men who followed them on a motorcycle as they left their house in tambon Nam Bo.

The attackers also stole their motorcycle.
