Post this to my Facebook
Not the law is the problem; Thailand has (almost) the same law as many other countries; law enforcement and ignorance of law by both authorities and the population has to be blamed.

I drive many times that road and I wonder that there are not more crashes like that. There is no Overtaking nessersary and sometimes they drive on the wrong side of the Street. Dear Government, please spend more money for secure streets, especially for the night. Install also Speed Control cameras, it's not a big deal! My condolences to the families of those who have died.

This is just one more reason why Thailand is a 3rd world country. They have NO laws. Another tragedy with too many Thai's killed. Does any politician care about them....NO. Are there any laws protecting Thai citizens from speeding drivers, unsafe trucks and buses and of course vans....NO. Nobody cares...miracle Thailand!

My condolences to the families of those who have died. I have been through this area during the day time and that was dangerous enough. The drivers have no road sense,no fear,no thoughts for others on the road.A lot are speeding also.(media to blame as they show adverts of cars, pickups going very fast from A to B,The adverts should be banned) These roads are only narrow, lighting is not that good also, No cats eyes etc also. how this crash actually happenned we will wait to find out. Many drivers also drive on the wrong side of the raod at night in these areas.

Accident stats like this will push Thailand down the list of those developing countries that could not keep up with the rest of the world, at least in term of quality of life.
