Bang ban puts damper on PM's water retention plan

AYUTTHAYA : Residents of Bang Ban district have slammed the government's plan to turn their land into a water retention area, insisting they have never been consulted about it.

Sudjai Inthalampan, of tambon Bang Luang, said she was dumbfounded to hear Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's announcement that Bang Ban district residents were willing to turn over their land for water retention.

She said she had no idea what led the premier to believe the residents would agree to give up their land.

    It is not long since a government spokesman said there were no companies withdrawing investment due to the floods that was obviously premature.Come on BP look into and inform the public what is going on regarding this crucial topic.
