Women's groups have urged the government to encourage male civil servants to exercise their right to paternity leave.
Fathers hold their babies as part of a campaign to encourage male civil servants to take 15 days of paternity leave to look after their wives and their newborn. The right to the leave has already been established but it appears many male government officials are still unaware of it. THITI WANNAMONTHA
Male government officials are entitled to the 15-day leave under a Prime Minster's Office regulation which was published in the Royal Gazette on Jan 24, a Bangkok seminar by the Thai Breast-feeding Centre was told yesterday.
