The Chiang Mai municipality has until Friday to return more than 400,000 baht to the state and report on the loss of cold-weather relief items.
The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) in Chiang Mai probed a blanket distribution project in 2010 and found 1,680 blankets out of 30,000 were missing.
The municipal administration distributed 27,120 blankets, worth 240 baht each, to Kavila, Nakhon Ping, Sivichai and Mengrai sub-districts, but the rest were unaccounted for.

The irregularities with this government keep unfolding, and piling up. I seriously doubt any money will be returned, or person's prosecuted for the alleged wrongdoings. That would truly be amazing from this government.
