The cabinet has approved an agreement for a US$15 million Thai holding in the Asean Infrastructure Fund (AIF), deputy secretary general to the prime minister and acting government spokesman Thitima Chaisaeng said on Tuesday.
Other shareholders in the AIF are Malaysia (US$150m), Indonesia (US$120m), Philippines (US$15m), Singapore (US$15m), Vietnam (US$10m) and Brunei (US$10m).
This agreement will not need parliamentary consent because it has no direct impact on the Thai economy, said Mrs Thitima.
