Firms told to pay or leave

Businesses that cannot afford to comply with the government's 300 baht daily minimum wage policy should relocate to neighbouring countries, says Virabongsa Ramangura, chairman of the Strategic Committee for Reconstruction and Future Development.

Virabongsa: Offers stark choice

The government would happily provide promotional assistance to those wanting to relocate their manufacturing bases, he said.

Wage of 300 per day is not much. Many can simply relocate to country side to enjoy 200-250 per day wages if they wish.

But I do not think Virabongsa Ramangura, chairman of the Strategic Committee for Reconstruction and Future Development should tell companies to just move out. Why would you do that?

Those were the days for the rich to become the richer. Good to see the current government executing the minimum wage policy in a firm stance.
