Our much lorded Navy Seals haven't warranted a mention yet which makes one wonder what our illustrious navy intends doing should they catch up with and engage those pirates.. Use spit balls and fire hoses on them and rather than cracking down hard... offer them a tow into port?

I believe heavy sanctions and harsh televised burials at sea broadcast to Somalis would help with this problem .

SOLTAIR D13: You should have written "spouting"...not "sprouting".

It was a rhetorical question on my part because of the consistent right-wing comments from Rebel.

You do know what a rhetorical question is, right? If not send me a private message I will explain this to you.

It seems like almost everyone agrees that the ships should be well armed and all the pirates should be shot without remorse. Why is the word still so soft with these kidnapping criminals?

Abbub # 12, Learn your history before sprouting stupidity. The Royal Dutch Navy was never involved, the Dutch Merchant Navy was.

Something sounds strange the vessel could have armed guards but hadn’t and the destination is not (really) known. “It is headed to Somalia” Andrew Mwangura said. So what? It is now in Somalia but maybe not because of the crude oil but something else!? This would be a perfect plan to send items to Somalia which would be deemed illegal if discovered. If the shipping industry would really want to get rid of the pirates they could so why they don’t?
