The show of dissatisfaction against sexy movie star Bongkoj "Tak" Khongmalai by a group of red shirts in Pattaya on Saturday night was just a "colour of democracy", Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung said on Monday.
Mr Chalerm, who is responsible for law and order, was responding to reports she was booed, jeered and harassed by placard-wielding red shirt protesters for a remark she made on her Facebook page about the late Ampong "Uncle SMS" Tangnoppakul.
The protest forced her to cancel a film shoot in Pattaya Soi 6 and she fled the scene in a car. Her vehicle was chased by jeering motorcyclists and at one point cut off and brought to a halt. The chase was videod and the clip posted on the internet.
