HM off to revisit historic paddy field

His Majesty the King will leave Siriraj Hospital to visit Thung Makham Yong, a vast paddy field in Ayutthaya, on Friday.

The field is where the kaem ling (monkey cheek) royal project to divert flood water was initiated by the King 16 years ago, when he harvested rice from the royal experimental rice field on May 14, 1996.
