Korkaew called to Monday hearing

The Criminal Court will hold a meeting of its judges handling the terrorism case against Pheu Thai Party list MP Korkaew Pikulthong on Monday to consider a petition seeking the withdrawal of his bail, chief justice Tawee Prachuaplarp said on Sunday.

The petition was filed by Democrat MP for Phatthalung Nipit Intarasombat on the grounds that Mr Korkaew had given interviews which could be construed as inciting unrest and showed aggression and hostility toward Constitution Court judges prior to Friday's ruling on the legality of the charter amendment bill.

Mr Tawee said Mr Korkaew would be summoned to explain. The judges would then hold a meeting to decide whether he had broken his bail conditions.

bula - "Normal people/press will not publish their interview that may lead to social unrest. "

No, normal people won't give an interview inciting civil unrest. Wow. Blame the media when it's Korkaew that opened his mouth.

lovethai #42 - How can I accept views which are not based on evidence but imagination, assumption and speculation. I was not defending Korkaew but my comment was that he answered interviewer's question based on his knowledge of the situation and worrying sentiment on the ground. My posting on what were said on the ground was not published. I can only said the reaction would be quite similar to the recent hooliganism behaviors in Parliament.

banmebkk #42 - Yes, they were convicted and sentenced to jail. That does not mean RS/UDD burnt ALL of buildings and shot ALL the soldiers. Have u noticed that none of PAD leader is in jail for their role in obvious crimes related to government house, airport terrorism, siege parliament and storming of police HQ etc.

bluebkk #27 - Can u produce your evidences, video clips or whatever that can assist investigating agencies? These will speed up their investigations. At the moment u are just making wild accusations. None of my comments/opinions ever said conclusively that either the AV administration or RS/UDD was responsible for killing, bombing, burning up to this point.

@Disc 39 - You can see youtube videos of red shirts burning down government buildings in Chiang Mai. Also vidoes of red shirts trying to burn down Chanel 3 building, and many more.

Bula # 39 ...I continue to be amazed at your unequivocal refusal to consider anyone else's point of view other than your own ... I can't help comparing your need for further evidence of Red Shirt violence in 2010 to those who claimed Nasa's Apollo moon landings did not actually take place ... despite overwhelming evidence that they certainly did [incl live tv coverage].

There were many witnesses to the extremist activities of the Red Shirts in 2010 .. furhermore, what Mr Korkaew said was very clear + easy to understand, there were definitely no mixed messages in the threats he made against the court + the judges.

How you can continue to defend him is, frankly, beyond my comprehension.

gordlimey #23 - where did u quote what he said from? From press report (their chosen words) or interview? Do u also know where and under what circumstance the quoted statement was made?

brilliant #33 - Normal people/press will not publish their interview that may lead to social unrest. BTW, did u follow the whole of the interview? Or, are u just following what the media choose to publish? The media is part of the responsibility.

englishbob #28 - Whose video clips? Can u also let me know the source of video that proved Red Shirts/MIB burnt ALL of buildings and shot ALL the soldiers. You should give copies of all your video clips to investigating agencies to assist in their investigations. BTW, do you have evidence that MIB is part of the RS/UDD.

gleentea #36 - The evidence is in no conclusive evidence that it was done by the RS/UDD. There was no weapon found at rally sites until after the military came into those sites. Do u have evidence that it was carried up by RS/UDD? I have no preference on any form of hate. I said it was the result of injustices and double standard justice. You can choose to argue and ignore the fact but it is dangerous to the society. With no 'unity/reconciliation bill' in sight, it is going to be even more difficult to resolve hatred and ontrol temper - because of the unresolved bitterness, hurts and grievances.
