Abhisit: Sukumpol helping Jatuporn

Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat is trying to help red-shirt co-leader Jatuporn Prompan by digging up the draft-dodging allegation made against him, Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Thursday.

Mr Abhisit said he personally believed that ACM Sukumpol's remarks concerning the Office of the Ombudsman's request for the Defence Ministry to send it documented evidence on the draft-dodging allegation against him were intended to help Mr Jatuporn in a legal case that he had filed against the red-shirt leader.

The Democrat Party leader said the Defence Ministry was about to testify as a defence witness in this case.  Mr Jatuporn is a defendant in five legal cases, and only one has been concluded, he said.

Shouldn't kick a man when he is down. He already lost his job and now his moral standing has been re-visited.

Thai politics is right down there in the gutter at the moment.

The leaders of the nation act like schoolboys running to teacher every 10 minutes. I feel embarassed for them knowing what the rest of the world will be thinking.

Is there anyone left with an ounce of integrity ?.

The Thai Courts need to put a fast track on all pending cases of all parties so Thailand can move forward

It’s amazing that Jatuporn, who is out on bail as a terror suspect, has time to make allegations against Abhisit for such “important” things like dodging the military service many years ago. One would think that Jatuporn is busy looking for evidence to proof that he is innocent and not a terrorist. On the other hand maybe even Jatuporn knows that he will never be able to claim he is innocent, considering all the evidence against him…

Pheu Thai ( Thaksin ) is back to the tactics they used last December when Mr. Abhisit and Mr. Suthep were called in for " questioning ". It led to nothing, of course. Its intent was purely to exercise power and displeasure for not cooperating with the " reconciliation " effort.
