Democrats firm timing for no-confidence debate motion

The opposition is unlikely to file a no-confidence motion against the Yingluck administration until the government delivers its one-year performance review and the 2013 budget bill is passed, Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva says.

He said the opposition will gather information for the debate and proceed when the time is right. No decision has been made on which issues will be covered.

He insisted the no-confidence debate would not be an attack on personalities.

Even though the DEM repeatedly failed both as the government and as the opposition, the diehard supporters in the south always voted for them. But I really did not see anything worthy enough to be noted that the DEM did for the southerners. I believe what the southerners really need the DEM to do for them are much more than seeing the DEM MPs taking a few pictures there merely for their personal PR interests and politicking out of the plight of the southerners. All in all, the DEM is most famous or notorious for hypocrisy.

Where is the southern hero Suthep? He should come out and fight for the voters who voted for him.

"I don't have personal interests there. So I don't have to go there often".

Chalerm's statement describes the Puea Thaksin regime in a nut-shell. The Thais in the South did not vote for the fugitive and his puppets so they cannot expect any help.

Khun Chalerm "I don't have personal interests there. So I don't have to go there often" ... hmmm isn't he the Assistant Prime Minster of Thailand? Doesn't Thailand include the southern provinces? Isn't he the head of the committee overseeing the southern violence? ... maybe he doesn't have "personal" interests, BUT he does have national responsibility and duty.
