Reds urged to gather on Aug 22

Chairwoman of the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) Tida Tawornseth on Friday urged red-shirt supporters to gather again at the Criminal Court on Aug 22 in support of their colleagues who face the possibility of their bail being revoked.

The court has said it will rule on that day whether to withdraw bail for all or some of 19 red-shirts, including a number of UDD co-leaders, accusing of violating the conditions set on their release on bail. They face terrorism-related charges arising from violent the 2010 protests.

Mrs Tida called on the red-shirts to peacefully gather in front of the court on Aug 22 and refrain from using loudspeakers, a condition set by court officials.

How many do they expect to show up this time? 500? If I was Thida I wouldn't dare to call her red ladies anymore. The numbers she is getting together are more and more embarrassing each time.

Good to see that even UDD defines themselves as a mob. A mob against democracy ...

Without loudspeakers, UDD leaders would not be able to effectively provide information on the progress of the court hearing. If there was any misunderstanding, it would be more difficult to control the mob, he added.

Well, don’t bring a ‘mob’ then.

Calling on the red shirts to mobilize outside a court house to show 'moral support' would constitute a 'crappy' job to me.

Finally , the first truthful word ever from a Red Shirt

Without loudspeakers, UDD leaders said it would be more difficult to control the MOB, he added.

The Red Shirts are now officially a MOB, read his lips.

Is Thailand belongs to the red shirts? Can anybody answer?

  • Discussion 1 : 10 Aug 2012 at 18.011

At least UDD spokesman Worawut Wichaidit admits it's a mob. Wonders never cease...
