Photojournalist Dan White dies

Well-known Bangkok-based photojournalist Dan White passed away at Samitivej Hospital on Thursday morning after collapsing at a friend's home earlier in the week.

White, 47, suffered a brain haemorrhage on Tuesday and never regained consciousness, according to friends.

A well-travelled all-rounder who cut his teeth in London's Fleet Street, White worked international locations as varied as Togo, Morocco, Nepal and East Timor before basing himself in Bangkok in 2002 where his main focus was on travel and culture writing.
