The former commissioner of the Bureau of Intellectual Property Crime, Col Piyawat Kingkate, is to be reinstated to the post after complaining that he was unfairly transferred.
The order for the Justice Ministry to reinstate him with back pay was made by the Merit Systems Protection Board which comes under the Civil Service Commission.
Col Piyawat was moved from the bureau which comes under the Department of Special Investigation to a post as a DSI C-9 specialist in April.
