The Royal Household Bureau announced on Monday evening that His Majesty the King had a high temperature and a bacterial infection in the blood.
A team of royal physicians at Siriraj Hospital reported that the King's temperature was low on Saturday morning but rose to 38.7 degrees Celsius in the afternoon and evening, causing him to have a slight cough.
His Majesty's breathing was slightly faster than normal but there was no pain in his stomach.
