Chiang Mai reds reject TRC report

About 100 red-shirt supporters of the Rak Chiang Mai 51 group, led by Worawut Rujanapinand, AKA DJ Daeng Song Kwae, on Tuesday gathered in front of Varoros Grand Palace hotel in Chiang Mai to show their rejection of the report released by the Truth for Reconciliation Commission (TRC).

Mr Worawut said the TRC report on the political violence in 2010 was biased, particularly the TRC’s conclusions  on the root cause of political unrest and social division over the past seven years.

The group issued a statement calling on the government and the TRC to comply with six demands:

Wondering if there is a group in Chiang Mai somewhere that has a petition I can sign supporting the TRC report and calling for the Red Shirts to disband and stop putting up signs everywhere saying 'this village is a red shirt village', because my experience suggests there's plenty of urban middle class people in this city that do not support the red shirts, in fact hate them and Thaksin but are too afraid to speak up for fear of getting thumped.

    one word , red`iculous !
What do they want , some more free taxpayer money or something ?
They think they will get a better result with the board being 50% yellow , 50% red and lady muck throwing another 100 million taxpayer baht at it on behalf of her bro`master ?
Don`t they have a local gay pride event or something that they can attack ?

The name of the report was always a bit problematic, and to name the commission Truth for reconciliation was always a little far fetched ... , it looks not surprisingly more like a whitewash the Government that installed the commission and the tools and actions it made. I agree with the issues raised except 4) which I think would be a waste of time & tax payers money.....just archive it for the historians, this report won't change how people get along or don't get along in Thailand and when history is written i doubt much importance or attention will be given to it. During time Siam/Thailand has been through many coups and times of hardship and it has always come through, and each time stronger, and this is exactly what will happen again.

Boring! Red truth is like Hitler truth. Look up your history books. Take a stand Thailand, these are very dangerous people.

Aren't these the same people who murdered a Yellow Shirt radio host's father and beat up gay people who wanted to have a parade? What a bunch of creeps.
