NACC says Yongyuth cannot be cleared

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) insists Deputy Prime Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit is not covered by the exoneration law as calls mount for his resignation.

Yongyuth: Declines to chair cabinet meet

Mr Yongyuth, who is also the interior minister, is not eligible for exoneration because he has not served the term of his punishment, NACC member Vicha Mahakhun said yesterday.

What does Nittirat group have to say about K.Yongyuth relying on the 2007 Exoneration Act, given they are always saying that all laws enacted between 2006 and 2011 are null and void.

They are strangely quite on this matter.

NACC, PACC, DSI should stop issuing statements concerning whether they think, assume or except somebody to be guilty or not, that is not their responsibility, it is the Courts that will decide that based on the evidence given to them.

He should be resigning out of shame and loss of face, instead of having to be dragged kicking and screaming into doing the right thing. And if he is incapable of seeing that, then he should be sacked by his boss, whoever that might be.

The man has been caught out, he is guilty of corruption, just lock him up. We said yesterday it was a start in the wright direction.Lock him up and stop wasting time and money. The country has more important things to deal with like floods although we are not doing very well at that either.

@aussie #8, you write: “Mr Yongyuth did not chair the weekly cabinet meeting yesterday.
Why , feeling Guilty or something ?”
Maybe he was together with Chalerm, the Bangkok police chief and some others in Singapore to watch F1. After such and exhausting weekend trip he obviously has to rest for a day or two.

Mr Yongyuth also said he was in the clear.
Not so fast , though as usual he has already publicly "cleared himself" , where does Thailand `find them ?
After questions were raised over his status, Mr Yongyuth did not chair the weekly cabinet meeting yesterday.
Why , feeling Guilty or something ?

Here we go again, conflicting opinions from different agencies backed (apparently) by different political sides all lining up and bickering over who actually has the authority to rule. So it goes to the Supreme court and when they rule against him the PTP (who deny every doing anything wrong ever) will cry 'politically motivated' and 'bias', yet here he is, funny enough, taking advantage of an exoneration law introduced in the 2007 'military pen' charter. Can't have it both ways chaps!
