Foreign prostitutes detained

BANGKOK - Police have detained 16 foreign prostitutes working at a massage parlour in Huay Kwang district, reports said on Wednesday.

A team of 30 officers led by Pol Maj-Gen Adul Narongsak, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police, and Pol Col Boonsong Namakorn, superintendent of Huay Kwang police, raided night entertainment venues in Huay Kwang on Tuesday night.

The team found 16 foreign prostitutes, aged between 20 and 25, working at the High Class Entertainment Complex.

I guess "High Class Entertainment Complex" does not have much class and are running low on inventory today. . Maybe they should advertise that the foreign products are temporarily unavailable but are expected to be back in stock soon.

"Police detained 16 illegal foreign prostitutes working at a massage parlour"
What is illegal ? to be foreign or to be prostitute ?
Referring to Thai Law it's not permit to work as prostitute...
Inside the MANY Massage Parlours there are only prostitutes, touts and clients, so to catch today only 16 people is not really a good job.
What are Zorro Chalerm and Garcia Priewpan doing ?????

Albeit there were Thai girls working there as well but only the 'foreigners' were charged.

Does it mean we have 4 categories of prostitutes:

    1. Legal Thai Prostitutes
    2. Legal Foreigner Prostitutes (with a visa and work permit for prostitution)
    3. Illegal Thai Prostitutes
    4. Illegal Foreigner Prostitutes

For some reasons I can't recall I always believed the whole prostitution business was from a strictly legal point of view illegal.
