NAKHON PATHOM – A civil servant has filed a complaint with police accusing her boss of assaulting her at work, slapping her face and pulling her hair.

Rawipha Phuengporn, head of the finance department of Taiyawas Tambon Administrative Organisation in Nakhon Chaisi district, complained to police that her boss, TAO chief Somdet Suksomkit, attacked her on Sept 12, reports said.

She said she informed him that his 150,000 baht proposal for landscape renovation in the area had been rejected because he planned to hire a private contractor to do the job.

It doesn't matter. The man clearly assaulted her and those weren't "slaps", they were full on punches with an open hand. And what conclusion is everyone jumping to? No one is jumping to anything. The evidence is clear.

Do you really think she would have quit her job because she couldn't get a kickcback from 150,00 baht ?.

Like so many of your posts you show us all how you have a warped view of right and wrong which is shared by majority of PT supporters on here.

Whether or not your totally unwarranted statement is true, this man should be instantly dismissed and a civil case taken against him for common assault.

I, for one, don’t think he was intoxicated. He was was probably just a little groggy from his mid-morning nap.

Anyway, as other’s have already commented, he’s ideally suited for a supervisory role in airport security; or perhaps as a ‘papa-san’ of one of the less reputable karaokes? Choices, choices...

Wow. ..First he is not a man HE IS A LOOSER. he really think he has full control of the situation when he slap her and nobody ..Nobody those nothing to stop him ...what kind of people can tolerate this ....only thai .......many man in thailand and asia has no respect for woman ..if this man would do this to my wife or sister or mother i would be please to show him how to respect women ... Very brave to hit a woman. hope the husband will not tolerate this and ........very stupid Looser

Totally unacceptable there needs to be another noisy sacking although you can not do that here.However and I keep saying this the TV shows this type of violence every day and nobody seems to get upset about it. Beating women. beating someone during an argument seems to be acceptable ,May be it is time someone looked at the TV soaps and stopped the violence on them.For certain the next generation will think it OK to strike someone because they have learned it from there idles on TV.

lol OK OK Now I have had my say in D27 which remains, as it stands. This kind of behavior is inexcusable. However, we are all rushing to conclusions. Well some of us. I have not personally suggested he was upset about losing possible kickbacks.

But this being Thailand, we should at least consider the other possibility:

What if she refused the proposal because she wants to have someone else involved, for her to get kickbacks?

Not that I believe this to be the case. But how can we know?

Again, the article is unclear if this woman was the decision-maker or just the messenger.

Well boys and girls I'll say this. If this piece of pond scum assulted my wife in any manner and especially like he did the lady in this video there would be another video on youtube of him loosing his teeth and being carried out of the premises comatose.

Why in most of the comments they mention the man what kind of man slaps a woman period,If this is Thainess thank god I'm a farang ,And why investigate sacked and jailed no investigation needed jail him in a woman's jail hahaha then you would see how tuff the TOA boss was he isn't a man not even close he is a big bully that wouldnt face up to a male employee. pulling hair i think maybe ladyboy.
