An opinion poll has concluded that most people are fairly confident the government can manage the floods this year.
The poll was conducted by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce between Sept 19 and 24. It involved 1,200 people randomly selected.
Thanavath Phonvichai, vice-president of the UTTC research centre, said 57.88% of the respondents believe the government is fairly well prepared to manage possible flooding this year, while 23.77% thought the government is ill-prepared.
