Police set to hit Supat with murder charges

Police look set to press murder charges against Supat Laohawattana, who is suspected of killing a couple who have been missing since 2009 and at least two of his Myanmar employees.

Pol Lt Gen Harnpol Nitwibul, chief of the Provincial Police Region 7, said yesterday that even though police had still not found the bodies of Samart Noomjui and Orasa Kerdsap, the missing couple, they had enough evidence to prove that at least two of the three human skeletons dug up from Pol Col Supat's orchard in Phetchaburi had been shot dead.

A forensic examination of the remains found bullet fragments in the two skulls that had holes in them, Pol Lt Gen Harnpol said.
