58,000 meth pills in abandoned bag

RATCHABURI – Police found 58,000 methamphetamine pills (yaba) in a bag left on the roadside in Ban Pong district of Ratchaburi province by fleeing drug dealers.

Rachaburi governor Choncheun Bunyanusart on Wednesday told reporters a police patrol saw a pickup truck and a taxi cab parked side by side at the spot where they found the drugs about 5.30am today.

When police approached them for questioning, the occupants fled. Police chased them but they got away.
