Tug-Of-War erupts over murder victim's son

Family members of a woman accused of murdering a South African businessman are fighting to gain custody of the dead man's three-year-old son.

GRIEVING: Hercules Duvel speaks at a press conference in Bangkok yesterday to defend his elder brother, Oswald Heinrich Duvel, who was found shot dead in Saraburi on Sept 30.

Police on Friday arrested Kacharin Duvel _ the boy's mother _ and her half-brother, Surasith Panchathepmnkol, for the murder of Oswald Heinrich Duvel.

The family of ex-wife - who confessed to killing her husband (and its pretty obvious it was for money) - needs to turn the child over to the authorities, and they need to release the child to the family of the deceased. Otherwise, this should and will go viral, with the international press such as BBC and CNN reporting on this scandal, including the absolute and embarrassing failure of the local press to give this the proper and detailed coverage it warrants. This is an absolute disgrace for Thailand.

The boy is almost certainly with the family that killed Oswald Heinrich Duvel. And we all know how they'll play this. Why did the authorities allow this to happen. This is absolutely appalling.
