Prem's long-time aide steps down

Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda has appointed Maj-Gen Pisanu Phutthawong as his new office chief, replacing his long-time close aide who has retired.

    D1: oh, oh, wow! 'Having met and having had dealings with all controversial politicians... ' Well, yes, and as it has shown, at least one dealing was a bit too controversial with a very controversial politician. (assuming that with "he" you meant Prem). Never heard about the other guy, so he did probably nothing wrong other than to keep silent.

    He deserves a great compensation and pension for his duty to the nation. So sad the past five years of his career were probably stressed with intimidation and fear from certain color coded factions.
    Thai people in these positions always tried to bring about compromise, common sense and did their responsible duty, irrespective of who held power. Tough job. They deserve the nations respect and should be free to offer their solutions to the problems with their vast experience. They've seen it all and did it all. Met and have had dealings with all controversial politicians or influential people in the past 30 years. Probably a gold mine of common sense practicality.
