No more iPhones for officials, says NBTC

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has revamped its ethics code, barring commissioners from receiving communication devices such as iPhones and iPads as gifts.

The NBTC board yesterday agreed the organisation's code of ethics must be improved to come into line with international standards, the commission's secretary-general Takorn Tantasit said.

He said the NBTC commissioners should not receive communications devices such as iPhones and iPads from private telecom operators on important holiday festivals such as the New Year.
