WFMC, BMA to meet over sandbags

The Water and Flood Management Commission and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will hold a meeting tomorrow to settle the sandbag row, Science and Technology Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi said on Thursday.

Mr Plodprasop was replying to a question in parliament directed to the prime minister by Democrat MP Thana Chirawinij, over sandbags found stuffed in drains on Srinakarin Road by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

Mr Thana said the BMA had laid sandbags at 18 spots to block water from flowing into flood-prone areas on many roads, including Ramkhamhaeng, Srinakarin, Rama 9 and Phetchaburi.

BMA should not tell them anything because it's a state secret and might affect the price of sand.

LOL...he did not understand the BMA's technique..... Lets say he does not understand ANY technique besides telling nonsense in the press!!!!

If Mr Plod doesn't understand the BMA's technique he should resign as he is supposed to be the flood expert!

So, the photo op of Plodprasop taking out those sandbags left by the terrible and incompetent BMA, may well turn out to be the photographic evidence of Minister Plodprasop vandalising and removing flood mitigation measures!

Don't really know the answer myself, and neither does he! That's why it might have been smart to ask more questions first.
