Thai chefs win international competition

Thailand took out four golds and one silver medal at the IKA Culinary Olympics 2012 held in Erfurt, Germany between Oct 5 and 10, 2012.

Thailand's junior national culinary team was led by chef Willment Leon, the founder of Thailand Culinary Academy.

Upon the team's return to Thailand, Mr Leon said that even though it was Thailand's first time participating in the international competition, the youth team was capable of winning medals. The team took special care on ingredient selection and taste, he added.
