Food, energy ties pushed

KUWAIT CITY : Thailand has proposed increasing cooperation on energy and food security, finance, and enhanced regional connectivity at the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Ministerial Meeting, to help seek solutions to challenges facing the world today.

Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul said the Asian economy must be strengthened from within to cushion against outside adverse impacts.

His comments came yesterday at the opening of the Ministerial Meeting, which precedes the full ACD summit.
