Kuwait's help sought in spurring growth

KUWAIT CITY : Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says the government is ready to join hands with the Kuwaiti government in spurring economic growth in both countries.

Speaking at a reception hosted to boost Kuwaiti investors' confidence in Thailand's political and economic stability, Ms Yingluck said Thailand and Kuwait have enjoyed a close relationship for more than five decades.

More than 40,000 Kuwaiti tourists visited Thailand in the first six months of the year, she added.
