US police: Patchara hanged herself

Police in the United States have confirmed that former Thai popstar Patchara Wangwan died by suicide. The family has requested the Thai consulate to help bring her body home.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles reported that the autopsy result released by the Riverside Police Department showed that the husky-voiced former lead singer of The Ovation, a popular band in the 1980s, was committed suicide.

On Oct 10, Patchara was found hanged inside her garage at her home in Riverside, California. Members of her family were intially not convinced that she would take her own life.

Khun GGH#1, if her family read BP, they won't be needing 20,000 bahts from her every month, and she might still be alive today!

I doubt if the family reads the Bangkok Post. Think of what they see in the Thai language press everywhere they go.

The family should be allowed to mourn without reading articles like this in the BP, simply to confirm previous articles. Better judgment should be used by the BP
