Sondhi, Boonlert accused of rebellion

Lawyers of the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) on Tuesday asked Crime Suppression Division police to take action against Sondhi Limthongkul, a co-leader of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), and Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit, alias Seh Ai, chairman of the Pitak Siam group, for inciting rebellion and a coup.

The law team, led by Karom Polpornklang, said the red-shirt UDD had previously filed a complaint with the CSD against the two men on Jan 26, but no action had been taken.

Today, they reminded the CSD of the complaint and submitted more evidence to support their case.  The additional evidence included CDs of Sunday's rally of by the Pitak Siam Group and reports on the rally on the internet and in newspapers.

Says the UDD - who killed soldiers, police, and bystanders, committed widespread arson and violence, attacked the PM's car in 2009, and from their podiums and on the cover of their publications called openly for armed insurrection. They're having a laugh, aren't they.

Let's hope that these two will be convicted and thus set a court precedent. This is for the betterment of the Thailand future devoid of instigators doing the bidding of others. Just how is it possible for someone influential to incite and boldly announce for the overthrow of a legit government by coup and not be thrown into the cell is beyond explanation. Any other countries will charge them for treason. Let this apply to all colors and affiliations.
