Boonlert, Sondhi accused of treason

CSD summons pair after charges levelled by UDD

The Crime Suppression Division has summoned Pitak Siam leader Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit and yellow-shirt leader Sondhi Limthongkul to acknowledge treason charges, a senior CSD investigator said yesterday.

CSD deputy chief Pol Col Prasopchoke Prommul said the summons was issued in response to a complaint lodged by United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) lawyer Kharom Polthaklang.

Mr Kharom has accused Sondhi and Gen Boonlert of sedition in connection with remarks the pair allegedly made earlier this year.

Did the UDD forget what they did 2 years ago when they brought in tens and thousands of people to Bangkok and closed roads and party on the roads?

NO freedom of speech then,If the present government do not get the message by now that they too are not above the law and they are answerable to the electorate something is very wrong. The army is not the answer though. These days more people are aware of the situation in government and its misdemeanour's. Let the people show how they feel by protesting. Sundays demonstration when well. The problem is some who organised it want to go too far so tell them the limits you are prepared to go to.
As a side line this has taken the heat of the rice problem and that is a pity.

Boonlert's intention of inciting unrest in the country is boosted by some irresponsible news media in thailand. These news media had publicized the anti-government rally movement in a high profile unnecessarily.

Boonlert and Shondhi are in breach of their own constitution law. Why are they not already behind bars?

Regardless of TS's deeds or misdeeds, and I'm not a fan of his, he was booted by an illegal coup. It's mind numbing to watch Thai people continually justify this type of military aggression. If the Cambodian Army, the Burmese Army, or the Chinese Army, invaded and threw out a democratically elected leader, because they disliked what he did, would you applaud? Of course not! So what makes it proper for the Thai Army to do it? General B is advocating the overthrow of a duly elected government by force. This is treason, plain and simple.

So - was there a rebellion, was there a coup? No. Is this yet another frivolous attempt at launching an inane lawsuit? Yes.

Do these people actually have anything at all useful to occupy their time? Absolutely not.

    Is it getting boring?… zzzzzzzzzzzz

What a joke ... the UDD accusing the PAD & Siam Pitak leaders of inciting people to rise up against the government. It is amazing how it is OK for the UDD to do such & such, but not anyone else.

The DSI is very aggressive against anyone who oppose to this government. Why is that? How come they are so passive concerning the MIB and the RED in the past 2 years. Is that because the RED and PT are in charge now?
Some of the aggressor were rewarded with high post. According to the leading media in the West, ex fugitive PM complained that the two English newspapers in Thailand are bias against him, he could easily establish one in Thailand that will say all the good thing about the Shinawatra! There are a few things that the ex PM had done good for the people in Thailand, but the bad out-weight his good deeds, that why hi got booted.

Sondhi Limthonkul was on the record saying that the Yellow Shirts were content as long as TS remaining outside Thailand. So, let' leave the Yellow Shirts alone?
