Prison chief, 2 warders shot

The new head of Thung Song Prison in Nakhon Si Thammarat province and two warders were shot on Tuesday night and police suspect the recent drug crackdown at the prison is the reason.

Pichit Wanjit, the commander of Thung Song prison, and the two warders were having dinner inside a house only two kilometres from the prison.

A number of men arrived in a car, one got out and open fire at them, police said. The attackers then immediately fled the scene.

    I agree with Dao. If they were killed doing their job they should be honoured. Trying to rid these prisons of drugs can't be an easy thing when you are dealing with drug related criminals.

    It is unfortunate that this happened to them but it is because they were doing their job most likely .If that was the case I salute them .
