SAKON NAKHON – A mother was arrested by the Anti-Human Trafficking Division (AHTD) at a resort on Wednesday on a charge of forcing her young daughter into prostitution.

Police said the 13-year-old girl was very weary when they arrested her mother, 35, during a sting operation.

The girl was so exhausted that she was put on a saline drip. She was sent to a child protection centre in Sakon Nakhon province.

A Russian woman just gave her life (in Pattaya) to save her kid and this evil mother is ruining the life of her daughter; no penalty would be to heavy for such an inhuman person.

I am really fed up with this “because she wanted to help her poor family” argument. Lots of poor people in Thailand live on minimum wages. That obviously does not make them rich but most still have a house and enough food. But obviously a normal salary is not enough for a big TV, gambling, the latest iPhone or a pickup truck. How many prostitutes do what they do to pay for a home and food and how many do it for luxury products? I don’t have any problem if woman want to sell their body for an iPhone, this is entirely up to them. But please don’t mention this “for my poor family” argument too often because in many cases it is simply

Nitnoi, there are poor people in every country but mothers do not prostitue their daughters. This story points to a deep immorality in this society where the perpetrators will never be rounded up.

Prostituion in Thailand mostly occur in poor family so improve their livelyhood coud reduce this practice. it is so sad that her own mother did this to her.

To me this is totally inhuman, a dog bitch would not do this to her pups. In fact she would do the opposite and stop other dogs sniffing there.
This poor girl is now going to suffer more after her family is broken up when her mother gets a prison sentence.
For the sake of the young girl, I sincerely hope the saying "like mother, like daughter" does not apply here. I really do hope that her mother gets the maximum sentence, and that her daughter gets the correct help from the child protection centre that will lead her to a normal life.
