Boonsong left out of censure motion, PM to be target

Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom will not be grilled over the government's rice pledging scheme at this month's censure debate, after he was left off the censure motion submitted by the Democrat Party yesterday.

The Democrats said they will instead direct their questions regarding the controversial scheme to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Alongkorn Ponlaboot, a deputy leader of the Democrats, said yesterday that the party would present questions on the rice pledging scheme in the censure debate, but they would not target the commerce minister.

Marty #9, A rather stupid thing to compare, "during the Vietnam War", we are not at war, anyway this is about the ability of Yingluck to show if she is up to specs to run a country with 70 Mln people. As said before, my son was offered not to be drafted for 30K, they arranged a black ticked. The rationale was, he may be send to the South, any father would go for that, offered by the Army draft team.

So, the dems asked since a long time a censure debate to grill Boonsong... without enough information against him. Good degree of "competence". They are as the snipers firing the political opponents, they randomly select the targets.

Dear red-leaning posters, may I politely point out to you that the article we are supposed to give comment about is the censure debate against the government which has your favours. When you feel a special need to add to the TS/PTP propaganda against Khun Abhisit, please post under the article about that topic. Thank you.

D20 Dondummm - It is the same thing, Abhisit says he filed the proper paperwork, the PTP says he used falsified papers ... but the bottom line he did his required service to the country, he did not shirk his duty and he is not a "draft dodger". How many PTP MPs and Ministerial appointees did their service? And of those that did, how many actually went to boot camp and how many used connections to get out of it?

bkposter 26; and where were you when Anupong 'the coalition formation manager' was hosting regular meetings of the Dems & unwilling coalition partners during November, December 2008 at his official residence in the compound of the First Infantry Regiment off Vibhavadi RangsitRoad

My God. AV has been cleared by the military long time ago. He submitted the evidence to the public several times. Haven't you been here ? Sukhompol set up a new panel to smear AV again before the censure debate, which is a normal parliamentary procedure. Before the debate the democrats have to name a new PM in case the censure debate is successful , that is the hole point of this smear campaign.

I think most countries allow the military to protect the city where the police have failed .

What AV is trying to do is to get PM Yingluck's seat without the majority votes of the Thai people. This is the only way he know how to become a PM. Don't you all think???
