Boonsong left out of censure motion, PM to be target

Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom will not be grilled over the government's rice pledging scheme at this month's censure debate, after he was left off the censure motion submitted by the Democrat Party yesterday.

The Democrats said they will instead direct their questions regarding the controversial scheme to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Alongkorn Ponlaboot, a deputy leader of the Democrats, said yesterday that the party would present questions on the rice pledging scheme in the censure debate, but they would not target the commerce minister.

Nice try making Abhisit look bad before the censure debate .You dug up one thing from 25 years ago that no one ever thought about .Not even Thaksin when he was in power .I hope he can pin her down and make he show her incompetence. If I,m wrong and she can actually justify her weak fugitive led governemnt I will be the first to admit it .

I agree with the majority of the speakers here. AV, now caught up in a military scandal of his own, seems to be screaming the loudest! BTW, in the USA, during the Vietnam war, such draft dodgers either went to jail or fled to Canada... serious stuff...

I think this is a correct approach, finally who is who, who is really capable and who is not. Would she also have a pager where brother is providing the answers as with the infamous trio who were offered early elections before the mayhem in 2010?

Do you not think your analogy would be like asking a cleaner to run the hospital with no experience at all.
The PM has NEVER had a job that she has worked for in her life. The one she had was through her family nameand when she went into politics the job title was scrapped.
She was made a party list MP so did not NEED to campaign for a seat, she was made PM on the strength of her family name.
With NO political experience she became responsible for the whole population of Thailand.
She has yet to attend parliament full time and do the job she was put into by her brother and is PAID to do.

And if a law were passed which required banks to remain unlocked and unguarded during night time hours, don't you think that might have the support of voters (most likely a select group)? If people spoke against such a law, do you think they would face a backlash from it's supporters?
If the defense of the rice scheme is going to be such meaningless generalities, it will be a waste of time.
